Carrie Empero's Story
Hey! Want to get to know me better?
I’m from Iowa and grew up in a small farm town with less than 10 girls in my class.
I was told from a young age I wouldn’t amount to much scholastically.
When I went to college I was at an 8th grade math level; I took numerous math courses, including college calculus, and received A’s. I graduated at the top of my class with a 3.8 grade point average.
I was so determined to prove them all wrong.
I was accepted into a very small program at NKY for X-ray tech.
They choose the top students for a small limited class; the rest were on a waiting list for years.
I chose Northern Kentucky University because my fiance accepted a job at Delta Airlines based in Cincinnati.
My last year in X-ray school, I decided this just wasn’t for me.
I felt I wasn't able to give my true self to the patients. I didn't have the time to even talk or help them feel more comfortable. I was told to hurry up even if they were in pain.
My mother-in-law in Los Angeles was a realtor at the time and following in her footsteps just seemed like the right fit for me at the time.
I could take my time and really listen and help people get what they want and help make their life better.
It was a hard start for me in the business because I didn’t know anyone but I worked a subdivision consistently by mailing and door knocking. Eventually, I became the top listing and selling agent in the area.
To me, real estate isn’t just about the transactions. I truly enjoy seeing the smile and excitement on a client's face when they get the keys to their new home.
The thought of them making so many great memories with their loved ones makes me so happy. Knowing I helped make that happen.
There is nothing like home and family! I truly love what I do!
After nearly two decades of being in the business and having had the opportunity to serve hundreds of people, I’m now grateful to find myself in the top 6 in my office (out of 60) and the top 100 in my company consistently (out of 600).
